Make sure your hotsync ID does not have space or it will not work. If you do have 2 or more words, use palmname.prc to temporarily change your hotsync name to only the FIRST word.  Then, after you run the keygen and generate the keyfile with the FIRST word, you can then go back to palmname and put the other words back.  Liberty will still remain registered.  ; )

Install "liberty.prc","Gmbt_TRIAL.prc" "pickset.prc" and "keygen-liberty.prc" 
Run Liberty at least ONCE UNREGISTERD 
Run "Pilot Pickset"
Select "Liberrty 1.1"  (Will work with 1.2 also)
Press "Execute"
Press "Calculate"
Press "Liberty"
That will run the keygen and patch Liberty.
Press "OK"
Restart Liberty.
Liberty is now regged.
Remember to recompile all ROM for this version.
